Winnipeg’s The Paperbacks are back with a new full length recorded by John K. Samson of the Weakerthans. The Paperbacks continue to evolve as a band, mixing equal parts indie rock, power pop, and a dash of alt country all topped off by singer Doug McLean’s (formerly of the Bonaduces and Painted Thin) unique lyrical voice. This new CD follows on the momentum of prior releases on labels such as Newest Industry (out of the UK), Pshaw (from Minneapolis) and Endearing (Canada).
