“The Unloved came together in 2000 as the only girl punk band in SATANtonio, Texas. Playing in and around Texas with such bands as Dead Kennedys, Avenged Sevenfold, Groovie Ghoulies, Tsunami Bomb, No-Cash, The Ataris, Epoxies, The Vibrators, and Leftover Crack. The girls have created their own niche in the Texas music scene. Now as the three girls, plus one drummer boy have relocated to Hollywood, CA, they continue to steal the hearts of all they encounter. With passionate performances and resonating riffs, So Unloved are rewriting the rules of punk rock. So Unloved fuse a combination of early sounding Rancid with the guitar harmony of 77 UK power pop. The vocals vary from charmingly harmonic, to deadly abrasive. So Unloved's debut full length (Pink, Black, and Broken) for SOS will bring their sound to the forefront and make them a band to look out for in the years to come.” |
